UP10TION (업텐션 , acronym for Unbelievable Perfect 10 members Teenager Idol Open Now) is a boy group under TOP Media (home of Andy (Shinhwa), TEENTOP, MCND and formerly 100%) who debuted on September 10, 2015 with their first EP ‘Top Secret’ and the title track ‘So Dangerous’. So Dangerous was one of the first songs on Big B Radio’s newly formed weekly chart now known as Big B Radio’s Listeners’ Choice Weekly Top 30 KPOP songs. The song debuted on the chart on September 27, 2015 and stayed for 3 weeks, peaking at #5.

The group consists members Jinhoo (진후), Kuhn (쿤), Kogyeol (고결), Lee Jinhyuk (진혁, Wei), Bitto (비토), Kim Wooseok (우석, Wooshin), Sunyoul (선율), Gyujin (규진), Hwanhee(환희), and Xiao (샤오). They soon followed up with their 2nd EP ‘Bravo!’ and lead track ‘Catch Me’ on November 26, 2015, then released their 3rd EP ‘Spotlight’, title song ‘Attention’ on April 18, 2016. Both ‘Catch Me’ and ‘Attention’ entered Big B Radio’s Listeners’ Choice KPOP chart. On August 5, 2016 their 4th EP ‘Summer Go!’ was released with the lead track ‘Tonight’, ‘Summer Go’ was their first EP to reach #1 on the Gaon Music Album Charts with over 60,000 copies sold.‘Summer Go’ limited edition “Thank You” was released on September 20, 2016 (10 days shy of their 1st Anniversary).

On November 21, 2016 UP10TION released their 5th EP ‘Burst’ with the title track ‘White Night’, the song was popular on Big B Radio’s Listeners’ Choice Weekly Top 30 KPOP songs staying for 7 weeks and peaking at #16 on January 8th and 15th. ‘Burst’ also reached #1 on the Gaon Music Album Charts with over 85,000 copies sold. The group released their 1st Japanese single album ‘ID’ on March 8, 2017 which landed 4th and 3rd on Billboard Japan and Oricon charts, ‘’ID’ sold 160,000 physical copies certifying the song gold. June 29, 2017 their 6th EP ‘Star,dom’ was released with ‘Runner’ as the title.‘Star,dom’ sold over 95,000 copies making it their most sold Korean album to date.

‘Going Crazy’ from the EP ‘2017 Special Photo Edition’ was released on October 18th, 2017. The song was on the Top 30 for just 1 week at #23 on November 5. The group released their 1st album ‘Invitation’ on March 19, 2018 with the title track ‘Candyland’ along with the return of member Wooseok after he went on a 9 month hiatus after ‘White Night’ promotions. ‘Candyland’ stayed for 8 weeks on Big B Radio’s Top 30, peaking at #8 on April 8. Their next EP release ‘2018 Special Photo Edition’ was on August 20, 2018 with the lead title ‘So Beautiful’, the song only stay on the chart for 1 week at #25 on September 2, 2018.

‘Laberinto’ with the title track ‘Blue Rose’ was released December 6, 2018, ‘Blue Rose’ stayed on Big B Radio’s Listeners’ Choice Weekly Top 30 KPOP songs for 9 weeks, peaking at #2 on January 5th, 2019. ‘Blue Rose’ then entered Big B Radio’s 2019 Mid-Year chart at #41. The group would not return until August 22 with the EP ‘The Moment of Illusion’ and lead track ‘Your Gravity’. Members Wooseok and Jinhyuk were absent from promotions due to being contestants on ‘Produce X 101’ in which Woosoek went on to debut in X1. Lee Jinhyuk then started his solo career with his first release ‘I Like That’ on November 4, 2019 and Wooseok released ‘Red Moon’ on May 25, 2020 kicking off his solo career. ‘Your Gravity’ stayed 4 weeks on the Top 30, peaking at #12 on August 31, 2019.

‘Light Up’ their 9th EP was released on September 24, 2020 with the title track ‘Light’ and promotional single ‘Destiny’ with leader Jihoo on hiatus due to health concerns. Jihoo then announced on November 23, 2020 his enlistment into the military (he is expected to be discharged in May 2022). ‘Light’ stayed for 4 weeks on the Top 30 peaking at #23 back on October 10, 2020. Promoting now as a 7 member group, UP10TION released their 2nd album ‘Connection’ on June 14th, 2021 with ‘Spin Off’ serving as the lead track.

The group recently came back with their 10th EP ‘Novella’ and title track ‘Crazy About You’ on January 3, 2022.
